As members of the Temple community, we are dedicated to supporting the historic mission of our university through advocacy and action. We, along with Temple's alumni, faculty, family, friends and students, will work with elected leaders and community groups to ensure the university's efforts and accomplishments are known across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and beyond.

We support the important work Temple does for our communities, the Commonwealth and the nation by attending legislative briefings, writing letters to our elected officials, making phone calls, meeting with legislative leaders and more.

Temple is in the process of creating a steering committee for Temple Advocates Legislative Outreach Network (TALON), a group of dedicated individuals who utilize their professional abilities and personal relationships to ensure the success of the university. Members of the steering committee assist the university in

  • contacting local legislators with information about legislative issues,
  • organizing local legislative briefings in conjunction with the office,
  • promoting the mission of Temple University in the local community and
  • recruiting new TALON members.
