The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the city of Philadelphia and the federal government are critical partners in the historic mission of Temple University. The support of these entities allows Temple to provide access to excellence for our students and to support groundbreaking research that changes the lives of people around the world. The Office of Government Affairs and Civic Engagement works to foster healthy relationships with elected officials in Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. The office serves as the primary liaison between the university community and government on all levels, connecting governments to the many services offered by Temple and representing the university's interests. The support of the Temple community is crucial to these efforts, and we encourage all Temple alumni, faculty, friends and students to engage in the political process. This site serves as a tool for keeping current on the important legislative matters facing the university and community at large. Check in regularly to stay updated on our efforts and to find out about opportunities to engage in the legislative process on behalf of Temple.
